![]() ![]() You can plant/harvest 2x sunflowers to every pineapple crop. The above figures are for a single harvest. So, as you can see with a fixed initial investment, the sunflowers yield about 1.8x more profit than the pineapple do because of the sheer numbers of planted items and lower initial cost to plant.ĭo you have the space to plant that many? Do you have time or are willing to harvest that many? I am not running all over looking for a row or two of stuff. I never plant anything but whole or half plots (144 or 72) for aesthetic and logistic reasons. That is 2.5 plots of pineapple or 9 plots of sunflowers. I can plant either 363 pineapple or I can plant 1333 sunflowers with that initial $2m. But, lets factor in an initial investment limit which most people are going to have and see how these two crops play out. ![]() On the surface and by the numbers, Pineapple sure looks like the profit winner, right? Almost 2x profit per harvest. A plot costs 216k to plant and earns 151k profit. The last time I screenshotted the sunflowers, they were selling for 2.55k or 1.05k profit. Each plot earns $296k with an investment of $792k. Pineapples are at level 30 for me and sell for 7.56k with boost which is 2.06k per. My farm is arranged in fields of 12x12 (144 or 4 tractors x 4 tractors). The 16hr pineapple will require watering to reduce it sufficiently to get 2 per day. So thats 3 harvests per day fairly easily. Then harvest again after work and then again before bedtime. I can drop a batch of sunflowers at night, harvest before work. On #4, I like Sunflowers and Pineapples (8 and 16h respectively). How the maturity time of the crop fits into your schedule. How much time are you willing to be in other farms filling the buff. How many of that item can I plant with current funds and space. How much is the PROFIT of each item (with boost). But I assume you are not there yet or you wouldn't be asking the questions. Depends on the profit margin of the two crops and the boost as well.Īt some point you will have more money than land to plant and/or time to harvest so the above becomes less of a factor. Can you make more money planting 100 of one item or more profit planting only 50 of another. You need to look at the boosted harvest value of the two crops. You need to look at the profit margins on the two crops and factor in the quantity you CAN plant given your current funds (and farm space to plant them obviously). Or you can plant 50 items that cost 5k to plant. You can plant 100 crop items that buy for 2.5k. Lets say you have limited funds (which I assume is the case based on the OP). Sometimes a lower price crop (which also may have a lower profit margin) may be a better option than a higher one. So focus on high value items first when your boost is active.Īt first I thought the friend boost applied to the sale price but when I started noting differences in prices with and without it, thats when I discovered that the boost applies differently to repeat harvest items and to single harvest items.Īnother factor to figure in is the purchase price. 20% of $15 isn't dick (apple trees) but 20% of $100 (mango) is very much worth it. For example, the boost extra on Mangos is way more advantage than when used on an apple tree. In this case, the boost will yield a greater advantage to things with a high harvest value. The 20% boost applies to the actual harvest value since it doesn't actually have a profit margin associated with it. The boost applies differently to multiple harvest things like trees, flowers and fish. An item that sells for 10k but only has a 1k profit will yield less boot value than a crop that sells for 5k but has a 1.5k profit margin. You should pick out a crop that has a high profit margin for use with the boost rather than picking out a crop with a high sale price. So, as you can see, the friend boost will gain more value with high profit items opposed to high sale price items. So the sell price will be 5.5k + 1.8k = 7.3k. The above figures do not factor in watering, item level nor friend boost.īoost, for single harvest crops applies a 20% bonus to the PROFIT of a crop (not the sale price).įor example: Sunflowers - 2.2k (sale) -1.5k (purchase) =. If you use a fruit stand, fruit converts to diamonds at 3.125 per diamond. Fruit is valuable in presses to convert to jam (and 5 diamonds at a rate of 10 fruit per diamond) and jam converts into medals. Pineapple unlocks at 32 and has a 1.5k profit and matures in 16hrs. That was my go-to crop for a long time until I unlocked Pineapple. It produces nuts and nuts convert to diamonds at a rate of 2.66 nuts per diamond. Profit at level 1 is 700k per and mature in 8hs.
